85.

5 I wait for the LORD, my soul waits, and in his word I put my hope. 6 My soul waits for the Lord more than watchmen wait for the morning, more than watchmen wait for the morning. 7 O Israel, put your hope in the LORD, for with the LORD is unfailing love and with him is full redemption. 8He himself will redeem Israel from all their sins.

Psalm 130:5-8

Life happens quickly, often without my even noticing it. I think the only part of my post-college life that has been constant is change. I look at my journey this past year and a half and see a timeline that could only have been drawn by God himself, and it amazes me how faithful He has been through my bickering and complaining. He has allowed me to share it with some amazing people and it's been the smiles and encouragement of these three new friends (#1, #2 & #3) that has been one of the best surprises of my constantly-changing life.

The season of waiting has hit my social group. The school year is rapidly coming to an end and just about every student I know is gripped with fear at the thought of what to do after May first. I may not be a college student, but I am definitely floating in the same boat as them. I believe I have been obedient and followed a path that God paved for me, but I can only see what lies ahead for a few more steps. Life as a graduate student ends for me in August and my job ends two months before that. For now, there is nothing I can do in regards to the future. There are many questions to which I have no answer, and not just about my job, but about the future as a whole.

So I wait.

And I am so thankful to be waiting in the hands of the Almighty.

Lead me to Your heart.

Court, thanks for sharing your thoughts. I know we've talked about it quite a bit, but it's always encouraging to know you understand how I feel. If I wrote a blog about my life right now it would closely resemble yours. Thanks for being an encouragement to me as we walk through this craziness together. Yay for never-ending change!

You totally have my permission to copy and paste my blog onto your own. Just post a copyright date, a publication date, a publication city and attach a note stating how indebted you are to me. Totally fine.
